"Death of coral reefs could devastate nations"
Coral reefs are dieing all around the globe and nearly 50% in the Caribbean are already gone. Scientists blame this on global warming, pollution, and bottom-draging boats. Much of the fish the world eats comes from around these coral reefs and if most of them were to die, the world would experience hunger and poverty. People world wide are stressed by this problem. A lot of commonly eaten seafood would disappear if the reefs become extinced. Islands in the Caribbean get a lot of money from tourists going on sealife explerations. No one knows what will happen, but hopefully our coral reefs will survive.
